MARBLE FALLS

Episcopal Church Women of Trinity Episcopal Church present “Focus on Transition”  with Dr. Leslie Winfield Williams as the speaker.

The seminar is set for 9:30 a.m. Oct. 11 at the church, RR 1431 East at Avenue D.

Williams’ talk will address the many changes and transitions women face in daily life.

The event is free to the public.

Williams, who didn’t commit to Christianity until her mid-20s, is the author of five books dealing with the mystery of faith and building the community, organizers said.

She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma, her master’s degree in English and creative writing from Trinity University in San Antonio, and her doctorate in English from the University of Houston.

She also received additional academic certificates from the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest in Austin. Williams is married to attorney Stockton Williams, who is also an Episcopal priest. Together they have two adopted children and own “Building the Kingdom Ministries,” a nonprofit corporation, restaurant and retreat center.

A continental breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m. and lunch at noon. For reservations, call the church office at (830) 693-2822 or Micki Hudson at (512) 793-4044.
