Along with MayFest and FiestaJam, the following events are this weekend:
- A program on common medicinal herbs hosted by the Highland Lakes Birding and Wildflower Society is May 1 at 10:30 a.m. at the AgriLife Extension building in Burnet. Free.
- The Artisan String Quartet performs a free concert at the Marble Falls Public Library on May 2 at 4 p.m.
- Reclaim Arts Academy presents “Matilda Jr. The Musical” on stage at First Baptist Church-Marble Falls from May 1-3. Performances are 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday. Tickets online.
- The Howdy-Roo Chili Cook-off is May 2-3 at Quarry Park in Granite Shoals.
- The Marble Falls Handmade Market is May 3 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Marble Falls Senior Activity Center.
- A pickleball tournament benefiting CASA for the Highland Lakes Area is May 3 at Fresh Air Park in Cottonwood Shores.
- Star Wars Day at the Burnet Library is May 3 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free.
- Take part in a spiral paper flower craft at Spicewood Community Library for ages 8 and up on May 3 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
- Grab a racquet for Pickleball Christian Singles Mingle on May 3 from 5-7 p.m. at Panoramic Pickleball in Spicewood.
