Common Cause rep to talk about reducing money influence on politics

Katya Ehresman of Common Cause Texas is the guest speaker when the Burnet County Democratic Club meets from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at the Marble Falls/Highland Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce office, 916 Second St. in Marble Falls. The public is invited.
Common Cause is a non-partisan organization with a mission of reducing the influence of money in politics and ending partisan gerrymandering for a better democracy for all, according to its website.
“Katya is energetic and knowledgeable of the strategies used at Common Cause to build a better democracy from the ground up,” said BCDC Vice President Roseann Thornton in a media release announcing the Sunday event.
