NEW BIZ: Cold Copper grand opening features petting zoo, longhorn rides and more
Cold Copper Commodities Company feed, tack, and meat store is hosting a carnival-like grand opening Sept. 20 at its Burnet location with a petting zoo, longhorn rides, a mechanical bull, barbecue, and music by Western band Family Shiloh.
The party starts at 3 p.m.; a Burnet Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting is at 4 p.m. KBEY 103.9 FM Radio Picayune will host a live broadcast at the event, and organizers plan to give away prizes.
“We have a whole bunch of door prizes,” said Russell Fairchild, Cold Copper general manager. “We’ve got some really big door prizes that we’re going to be giving away as well as some smaller ones.”
The store sells animal feed, ranch and farm equipment, and pet and garden supplies. New items will be unveiled at the Sept. 20 event.
“There will be an introduction of all new products on the showroom floor that day that people have never seen here in the store,” Fairchild said.
Cold Copper Commodities Company, which opened in June, has two locations: 1100 S. Water St. in Burnet and 1810 RR 1431 in Marble Falls.
