Falls on the Colorado membership drive underway; annual meeting March 25
The Falls on the Colorado Museum recently kicked off its membership drive, just in time for its annual meeting, which is 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at the museum, 2001 Broadway in Marble Falls.
The public meeting will focus on new exhibit plans and community outreach.
“We have bold plans for the coming year, and reaching our goals requires community support,” said museum Chair Amanda Seim. “I hope everyone will consider becoming a member and that current members will renew their membership to help in preserving and presenting our history.”
Family and organization/corporate memberships are $50 a year; individual memberships are $30.
Memberships can be purchased on the museum’s website or by mailing payments to: Falls on the Colorado Museum, P.O. Box 1333, Marble Falls, TX 78654.
Member benefits include:
- being part of a like-minded community;
- a free ticket to the Christmas Home Tour in December;
- front-row seats at all programs and presentations;
- and the use of either of the two meeting rooms for group meetings or family reunions.
The annual meeting will include refreshments and a local history presentation. Bring a non-member friend to the meeting and if that person becomes a member, you will both receive a 10 percent discount on one year’s membership.
“This year’s objectives include hosting new exhibits highlighting our history and developing exciting programs to engage visitors,” Seim said. “The museum relies on donations, gifts, memorial contributions, and memberships to continue being a valuable asset to the community. Your contribution and membership are valued and important.”
The Falls on the Colorado Museum is located at 2001 Broadway in the Old Granite School building. Hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Admission is free. For more information, visit the website or email focmuseumchair@gmail.com.
