Stage 2 water restrictions coming
Marble Falls will move to Stage 2 mandatory water restrictions on April 3. The city had dropped to Stage 1 restrictions in January.
“We are currently experiencing a region-wide drought,” City Manager Mike Hodge said in a media release on Thursday, March 16, announcing the restrictions. “By implementing Stage 2, our goal is to get the word out to the community and get people in the habit of conserving water by the time we get to the hottest months.”
The city asks that water customers limit watering their lawns and gardens to twice a week on designated outdoor water-use days between the following hours:
- midnight and 10 a.m.
- 7 p.m. and midnight
Designated water-use days are determined by street address. Residential customers with odd-numbered addresses may only water on Wednesdays and Saturdays; residential customers with even-numbered addresses on Thursdays and Sundays. Commercial customers may only water on Tuesdays and Fridays.
