A Horseshoe Bay man was arrested on Thursday, March 16, on charges connected to a head-on collision that killed three people in Spicewood on Feb. 26.

Isek Aaron Munoz, 21, was booked into the Burnet County Jail on three felony counts of failing to stop and render aid resulting in death and one felony count of failing to stop and render aid resulting in serious bodily injury. He was also charged for a probation violation for failing to stop and render aid resulting in bodily injury due to a prior felony charge related to a 2019 crash.

According to a preliminary report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Munoz was driving a Ford F-350 pickup truck east on Texas 71 near East Trail Road at about 3 a.m. when he struck a Hyundai vehicle traveling west head-on. The Hyundai’s driver and two passengers were killed. They were identified as Mathew Lindsey, 22, of Canyon Lake, Danielle Harris, 23, of Spicewood, and Spencer Jandreau, 24, of San Antonio.

Munoz and his three passengers all suffered injuries.

Munoz’s bail was set at $530,000. If convicted on all five charges, he faces as many as 80 years in prison and up to $50,000 in fines.
