Highland Lakes cities continue to see an uptick in sales tax revenues. The following data reflects reports submitted from the Texas Comptroller’s office from the month of August.

MARBLE FALLS

In August, Marble Falls brought in 18.14 percent more in sales tax when compared to August 2020.

  • August 2021: $1,030,795.58
  • August 2020: $872,519.64 
  • Year-to-date sales tax revenue by August 2021 is $8.88 million, up 19.06 percent from last year

BURNET

August sales tax revenue for Burnet is up 6.12 percent compared to August 2020.

  • August 2021: $275,893.02 
  • August 2020: $259,979.38
  • Year-to-date sales tax revenue by August 2021 is $2.36 million, up 13.72 percent from last year

GRANITE SHOALS

August sales tax revenue for Granite Shoals is up 2.79 percent compared to August 2020.

  • August 2021: $39,877.08 
  • August 2020: $38,791.08
  • Total sales tax revenue by August 2021 is $334,588.93, up 7.3 percent from last year

HORSESHOE BAY

August sales tax revenue for Horseshoe Bay is up 9.35 percent compared to August 2020.

  • August 2021: $150,147.79
  • August 2020: $137,299.23
  • Total sales tax revenue by August 2021 is $1.3 million, up 24.72 percent from last year

COTTONWOOD SHORES

August sales tax revenue for Cottonwood Shores is up 21.65 percent compared to August 2020.

  • August 2021: $27,007.65
  • August 2020: $22,200.12 
  • Total sales tax revenue by August 2021 is $203,036.01, up 27.44 percent from last year
