The Highland Lakes Master Gardener Association announced it is canceling the Burnet Farmers and Crafts Market for 2020.

“Highland Lakes Master Gardeners are sad to announce the market will not open this year due to COVID-19,” organizer Lavona Fry wrote in an email about the decision.

She added that the association and market leadership didn’t feel it was safe for the volunteers, vendors, and customers at this time.

The market, held every Saturday on the Burnet County Courthouse square in Burnet, usually runs mid-May through November. The Master Gardener Association initially pushed opening day into June.
