Marble Falls volleyball falls to Leander in district contest
LEANDER — The Marble Falls High School volleyball squad lost to Leander High 8-25, 10-25, 17-25 in a District 25-5A contest Sept. 23.
“The Lions were tough hitting and serving and very good at returning the ball through serve-receive and attacks,” Lady Mustangs head coach Julie Downs said.
ON OFFENSE: Kills – Hanna Wall 7, Taylor Brackenridge 2, Lauren Loader 2; assists – Kelsie Tackitt 4, Maddie Johnson 4; aces – Shelcee Clark 1
ON DEFENSE: Digs – Shelbi Wyatt 8, Maddie Johnson 8, Taylor Brackenridge 7; blocks – Jackie Winn 1, Lauren Loader 1
SUBVARSITY RESULTS: Marble Falls junior varsity lost 12-25 and 10-25; Marble Falls freshmen 15-25 and 22-25.
RECORDS: Marble Falls is 4-17 overall and 0-4 in District 25-5A play.
