Marble Falls eighth-grade volleyball 2nd at Hays Barton

BUDA — The Marble Falls Middle School eighth-grade A volleyball team finished second at the Hays Barton tournament Sept. 12-13.
The Lady Ponies beat Boerne 12-25, 25-18, 15-9, Navarro 22-25, 25-19, 16-14 but lost to Hays Dahlstrom 25-12, 25-18 in the championship.
Coach Kelly Clark commended her players for their ability to come back after losing the first set against Boerne and Navarro.
“The ladies had a slow start but didn’t quit,” she said.
The Lady Ponies began the season with a 13-25, 9-25 loss to Lake Travis on Sept. 11.
