KINGSLAND — Authorities are seeking the public’s help in finding a man accused of failing to show up in court for a proposed 30-year prison sentence for allegedly molesting and videotaping a child under 14 years old, according to investigators and court documents.
Robert Earl Griffith, 37, of Kingsland failed to appear in the 424th Judicial District Court on May 15 when he was expected to enter a plea on a string of indictments, including child pornography and sexual performance of a child, court records showed.
Griffith, who is believed to possibly still be in the area, is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and 130-140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Call Hill Country Crime Stoppers at (866) 756-8477 with information. Tips leading to a conviction could result in a $2,000 reward.
Also, the Fugitive Recovery Unit is working with the Texas Department of Public Safety to find Griffith. Call the hot line at (214) 785-8491.
“He’s a sexual predator. It’s multiple counts. The evidence was very clear with video,” said Dee Stephens, a private investigator, contracting with DPS. “He needs to be picked up, so the public is protected.”
