Marble Falls baseball, softball awards handed out
MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School baseball and softball teams celebrated the 2013-2014 season with their annual awards ceremony May 21.
Each athlete received a certificate of participation.
BASEBALL: Team Most Valuable Player – Cullen Vaught; Most Improved – Adam Hicks; Fighting Spirit – Lane Bingham; lettermen for this year – Juan Martinez, Lane Amidon, Adam Hicks. All-district – first team: outfielder Carson Bowen, shortstop Cullen Vaught, first baseman Domenic Patterson; second team: outfielder JT Watson, pitcher Hunter Dooley; honorable mention: designated hitter Adam Hicks. SOFTBALL: Team Most Valuable Player – Tyler Oppenheim; Offensive Player of the Year – Amanda Thomas; Defensive Player of the Year – Tyler Oppenheim; Newcomer of the Year – Corey Oppenheim.
