FROM STAFF REPORTS

KINGSLAND — A 35-year-old man faces three felony charges following a Llano County Sheriff’s Office investigation after deputies learned the individual possessed child pornography.

Robert Earl Griffith of Kingsland turned himself in to authorities July 25. Deputies charged him with first-degree sexual performance of a child, third-degree indecency with a child by exposure and third-degree possession of child pornography. He was booked into the Llano County Jail but was released the same day after posting $95,000 in bonds.

According to sheriff’s office officials, investigators developed information the man was in possession of child pornography. After gathering further information, deputies obtained a search warrant from District Judge Allan Garrett for the suspect’s residence.

On July 23, deputies executed the search warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of Sleepy Hollow Road.

LCSO officials said several items of evidence were seized, but they didn’t specify what was found.

Based on the search and evidence, deputies obtained an arrest warrant for the man.

Llano County deputies said the department wouldn’t release any further information about the investigation at this time.

If convicted, the man faces up to 99 years in prison.
