Marble Falls indecency suspect alleges touching incidents involved hygiene lesson

MARBLE FALLS — Police have charged 22-year-old Preston Allen Bockman with indecency with a child/sexual contact, after a 5-year-old boy told an educator about an alleged incident involving inappropriate touching, court documents stated.

According to the arrest warrant affidavit issued by Marble Falls Municipal Judge Cheryl Pounds, Child Protective Services contacted Marble Falls Police investigators in early December regarding the allegation. CPS investigators learned of the alleged incident from school district officials. The arrest warrant affidavit alleged more than one incident.

After an investigation and interviews conducted at Hill Country Children’s Advocacy Center and the police department, authorities charged the man.

The arrest warrant affidavit stated the accused initially told an investigator that any touching of the child’s body “was related to hygiene.”

Bockmon was booked into and released from the Burnet County Jail on Dec. 28 on a $15,000 surety bond. The charge is a second-degree felony, punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
