Flames torch opponents with win
MARBLE FALLS — After suffering through four losses by a combined six points, the Faith Academy boys basketball team had a breakthrough week.
After beating Lometa 51-35 Dec. 5, the Flames torched Killeen Memorial Christian 63-36 Friday.
“It’s huge for us,” head coach John Berkman said. “We were losing really close games. Those are hard to handle, even when you play hard. You’re right on the edge of being extremely good. Our kids understand a lot more about what we’re trying to do now.”
