Mustang freshman teams lose two to Vista Ridge
CEDAR PARK — The Marble Falls High School freshman football teams suffered losses to Cedar Park Vista Ridge on Sept. 22.
The freshman purple team lost 18-7, while the freshman gold fell 15-6.
“Both teams fought and played hard,” coach Weston Franco said. “Both teams fought to the bitter end.”
The gold team’s only touchdown came on an Issac Vidal 3-yard run.
“Korbin McLean had another good game as well as D’Anthony Wall,” Franco said.
The purple team opened up the game with a bruising 14-minute drive that was capped off by a Magnum Bertram 1-yard touchdown plunge.
The Mustangs host Leander Rouse at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sept. 29 at Mustang Stadium, 2101 Mustang Drive.
