Marble Falls powerlifters compete at H.O.T

Marble Falls places 10th out of 16 teams

BRADY — The Marble Falls High School powerlifting team finished in the top 10 of the H.O.T. Powerlifting Championship meet recently.

Four Mustangs placed in their weight classes, lifting a total of more than 800 pounds at the event.

RESULTS: Boys — 148 pounds (squat, bench press, dead lift–total): Joel Camacho, 350-200-350–900, 6th; 165 pounds: Justin Torres, 295-205-300–800, 4th; superheavy weights: Chace Fry, 410-300-400–1,110, 3rd, Travis Sparks, 410-225-375–1,010, 4th.

MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School powerlifting team hosted a tri-team meet against Comanche and Burnet Jan. 26.

Marble Falls head coach Ricky Sparks said his lifters improved on the amount of weight they lifted.

Three Mustangs aim to power themselves to the state meet

MARBLE FALLS — Three Marble Falls High School lifters aim to power their way through the regional meet at Dripping Springs Saturday and punch their tickets to the state meet.

They include juniors Cyril Lemon and Ronnie Boatwright and senior Andrew Mitchell.
