Fire crews from the Marble Falls department, Horseshoe Bay Fire and the Marble Falls Area Volunteer Fire Department responded to the wildfire at 2:30 p.m. The blaze came within 50 feet of a residence, but crews contained it. Mustangs' spring inter-squad scrimmage May 17 could give glimpse of future
MARBLE FALLS — Fans can get an early glimpse of the 2012 Marble Falls High School football team May 17 when the Mustangs hold the purple-and-gold spring football game.
The inter-squad scrimmage will end spring football practice.
Woman in black sought in late-night attack at Marble Falls Chili's
MARBLE FALLS — Police are trying to learn why a woman dressed all in black hid inside a Chili's restaurant after it closed, then jumped out and attacked an employee.
The assailant struck the manager in the head with a blunt object shortly before 12:20 a.m. May 15 at the restaurant, 702 First St., officers said.
The attacker then fled.
Marble Falls voters keep incumbents, add former council member
MARBLE FALLS — Voters May 12 returned two incumbents to the City Council and a former member who served in the 1990s.
Incumbents John Packer and Rich Lewis earned another two-year term on the council. They will be joined by former Councilman Reed Norman.
