HORSESHOE BAY — A Del Valle man is charged with credit card abuse after investigators say they found a pile of receipts, a woman's purse, credit cards and other ID in his vehicle.

Hector Cavazos, 42, turned himself in Nov. 18 after a warrant was issued for his arrest on the state jail felony charge, police said.

He has since been released from the Burnet County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

The probe began after a 38-year-old Alabama resident told officers her financial institution reported suspicious activity on her card.

Video from a security camera at a Horseshoe Bay convenience store on Nov. 9 helped authorities nab a suspect, police said.

Receipts indicated items purchased, some in Austin, included a radar detector, vehicle parts and fuel, according to reports.
