BURNET — The Burnet Consolidated Independent School District's campus registration begins Aug. 1.
The school year starts Aug. 22.
Students should bring a birth certificate, immunization record, Social Security card, proof of physical residence and a report card and withdrawal from their previous school with them to register.
Campus registrations are:
• Bertram Elementary: New student registration begins Aug. 1 from 8 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Meet the Teacher is 9-10 a.m. Aug. 19 for pre-kindergarten-fifth grade. Students should bring their school supplies. Class lists will be posted after 5 p.m. Aug. 18. The school is located at 315 Main St. in Bertram. Call (512) 355-2111.
• Burnet Elementary: New student registration begins Aug. 3 from 8 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Meet the Teacher is 10 a.m. Aug. 19 in the cafeteria for pre-kindergarten, 3 p.m. in the cafeteria for kindergarten and 1 p.m. in the classrooms for first grade. Students should bring school supplies. Class lists will be posted after 5 p.m. Aug. 18. The school is located at 607 N. Vanderveer in Burnet. Call (512) 756-2126.
• Shady Grove Elementary: New student registration begins Aug. 3 from 8 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Meet the Teacher is 2-3 p.m. Aug. 19. Students should bring school supplies. Class lists will be posted after 5 p.m. Aug. 18. The school is located at 111 Shady Grove Road in Burnet. Call (512) 756-8090.
• R.J. Richey Elementary: New student registration begins Aug. 3 from 8 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Meet the Teacher is 3-4 p.m. Aug. 19. Students should bring school supplies. Class lists will be posted after 5 p.m. Aug. 18. The school is located at 500 E. Graves in Burnet. Call (512) 756-2609.
• Burnet Middle School: New student registration begins Aug. 3 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Sixth-grade Kennel Camp is 4:30-6 p.m. Aug. 16. Schedules may be picked up from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Aug. 18-19 or on the first day of school. Registration packets must be complete before a student can receive a schedule. All incoming seventh-graders must be current on immunizations before enrolling or receiving a schedule. The school is located at 1401 N. Main St. in Burnet. Call (512) 756-6182.
• Quest High School: Registration begins Aug. 1 from 8 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Students who plan to attend the alternative school for grades nine-12 should call (512) 756-6747 after Aug. 1 to have a schedule ready for the first day of school. The school is located at 303 N. Pierce St.
• Burnet High School: New student registration is Aug. 8-11 from 8 a.m.-noon and 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the A Building. New students may attend freshmen orientation at 6:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 16 in the auditorium. Students already enrolled may pick up a schedule from 2-6 p.m. Aug. 9-11 and 9 a.m.-noon Aug. 12 in the A Building. Parents must accompany students to complete required forms. If parents are not able to accompany students, a forms packet will be sent home to be returned completed before a schedule may be picked up. Students enrolled in a dual-credit course through Central Texas College should pick up schedules Aug. 9 when a CTC representative will be available and must bring payment for fall courses and required paperwork.
