BURNET — Burnet maintenance crews punctured a gas line April 7 while planting trees at the Delaware Springs Municipal Golf Course.
No injuries were reported, officials said.
The area was cordoned from golfers while crews repaired the hole, about the width of a pencil, in the ATMOS Energy gas transmission line.
“We are working with ATMOS to remedy the situation as quickly as possible,” City Manager David Vaughn said.
Both city and ATMOS emergency crews responded immediately after the break was reported, Vaughn said.
The line is located near the fairway of hole No. 6.
The golf course is just south of the city.
