BURNET — City officials expect the state to approve their request to dump more treated effluent into Hamilton Creek after reaching an accord with critics, but it could cost Burnet an additional $2 million.
Burnet leaders have agreed to spend the extra money to improve water-quality controls at a new plant, and said the cost is more affordable than other alternatives.
