BURNET — Proceeds from the Burnet High School alumni baseball game will help a local man fight cancer.

The game is 3-6 p.m. Saturday at Bulldog Diamonds, 1000 The Green Mile.

The funds raised will aid Ben Ham and his family of Burnet with medical costs.

Ham was diagnosed with diffuse B-cell lymphoma in March. After chemotherapy and surgery, the tumor transformed into Burkitt's lymphoma, a rare cancer requiring very aggressive treatments, according to reports.

Catfish plates for $10 will be served from 3-7 p.m. Other activities include a carnival, silent auction and bounce house.

The National Honor Society will man the concessions stand.

The Benjamin Ham Benefit Account is at Wells Fargo Bank in Burnet.
