BURNET – City leaders are anxiously awaiting the completion of a plan for a new wastewater treatment plant to head off any financial difficulties, officials said.
The city has signed a contract with Thornhoff Consulting Engineers to pay the firm about $2 million to develop the plan, which officials thought would be finished by now, said City Manager David Vaughn.
Last week the engineers indicated the plan is being finalized.
