BURNET — The School Board has agreed to pay Burnet $20,000 a year to use the Galloway-Hammond Recreation Center for swim practices.
The Burnet Consolidated Independent School District Jan. 16 agreed to the contract with the city, which operates the center at 1602 U.S. 281 North.
"An annual fee of $20,000 pays for the cost of practice time throughout the school year for our swimmers," Business Manager Preston Ingram said.
The agreement renews each year unless it is cancelled with notice, he added.
