BURNET — A judge has granted a change of venue after a jury couldn't be seated in the trial of a man accused of fatally stabbing the brother of a woman running for district attorney.
Visiting state District Judge Doug Shaver Dec. 13 ordered the trial of Edward Dwayne Nash, 51, be moved out of the four-county area served by the 33rd/424th Judicial District to ensure an impartial jury can be found.
Two sites under consideration are Gillespie and Kendall counties, but a final location still has to be determined.
