BURNET — Authorities have lifted a boil-water notice for the Delaware Springs subdivision south of the city.
"Test samples taken as a result of a water line break in the city of Burnet have returned an all clear," said Water Superintendent Alan Burdell on Dec. 10. "Citizens no longer need to boil their water. The boil-water notice was issued after a water line that fed the subdivision sustained a break Dec. 8.
While the break was quickly isolated, the boil-water notice was issued according to Texas Commission on Environmental Quality requirements and as a precautionary measure, officials said.
