BURNET — An ambitious plan to build a new Herman Brown Free Library may need a rewrite after the federal government denied a critical funding request, officials said Nov. 28.
But supporters are not ready to pen "The End" in spite of this latest chapter in the saga to construct a multimillion-dollar replacement facility.
"Eventually, we will have a new library," said Donna Kladstrup, president of Friends of the Herman Brown Library, a support group.
