BURNET — School board officials have approved a plan to raise Burnet High School math scores on standardized tests during the next two years after the school was rated academically unacceptable.
"I think it looks like a good plan," president Andy Feild said during the School Board meeting Oct. 3. "Hopefully, we are off to a good start."

The plan aims to help the school boost its state academic rating to acceptable during the next two years.
Burnet was one of several Texas schools — including neighboring Marble Falls High — rated academically unacceptable this year by the Texas Education Agency based on standardized test scores and attendance.
