Lacey, a blue Lacy dog owned by George Ortiz, suffered a broken hip and other injuries after a car struck her on Second Street along Westside Park in Marble Falls. Ortiz accepts he’s responsible since she was off her leash at the time, but he’s noticed drivers aren’t quite aware of what’s going on around them in the vicinity of the park.
