MARBLE FALLS — Two branches of the Grand Bank of Texas are expected to open by mid-February at temporary locations in Marble Falls and Horseshoe Bay, officials announced Jan. 13.
Much of the staff once worked at American Bank of Texas, but left in April 2011 to begin planning this venture, they said.
The recession hasn’t daunted their hopes of success.
“The economy in Texas is not as difficult as it is in the rest of the U.S.,” said Susan Pierce, the president of the Grand Bank branches in the Highland Lakes. "It has slowed down, but not as horrific as the rest of the country.”
