MARBLE FALLS — The city agency charged with encouraging economic growth wants to give prospective retailers a window into the community with interactive features on a new website.
The Economic Development Corp. has approved spending $17,000 with EDSuite to redesign and maintain a new website for the nonprofit.
JOHNSON CITY — Eight Pedernales Electric Cooperative members are running for director positions in the 2012 Board of Directors election in June.
The cooperative’s membership will elect directors for board districts 1, 6 and 7.
KINGSLAND — The Kingsland/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce Networking Luncheon on using Microsoft Excel is April 4 at Kingsland Community Park.
The event is 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the park, located at the end of Williams Street on Lake LBJ.
JOHNSON CITY — Brent Bailey has been selected as the new general counsel for the Pedernales Electric Cooperative.
According to PEC, Bailey has 25 years of legal expertise in the energy field. As general counsel, he will work with Chief Executive Officer R.B. Sloan, but report directly to the board.
MARBLE FALLS — Officials are urging potential vendors to attend a forum March 1 to learn about jobs at a construction project to replace the Thomas C. Ferguson Power Plant.
Up to 500 workers could be employed on the $500 million project, which could be finished by 2014, Lower Colorado River Authority officials said.
The forum is 9:30 a.m. at Lakeside Pavilion, 307 Buena Vista Drive.
