Writing seminar Feb. 29 in Johnson City benefits library

JOHNSON CITY — The Writers' League of Texas in partnership with the Johnson City Library and the LBJ National Historic Park will present a writing seminar Feb. 29 at the Johnson Settlement Events Center.

The event is 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the center, located in the park off U.S. 290. Cost is $40 and includes lunch. Proceeds benefit the library.

Workshops are for writers of all levels and include:

• Jumping to the Other Side of the Brain by Carol Dawson; Writing for Young Readers by Jennifer Ziegler and The Past is Your Future: Writing & Selling History & Biography by James L. Haley.
