Art walk in Johnson City to show off three exhibits Jan. 28
JOHNSON CITY — Three art galleries on Nugent Avenue will host receptions for new exhibitions Jan. 28.
The event is 4-8 p.m. at the Taste Wine + Art, 213 N. Nugent Ave.; A. Smith Gallery, 105 N. Nugent Ave.; and LMC Murals, 104 N. Nugent Ave.
Taste Wine + Art's show Extreme Color features six Texas painters and almost 50 works.
A. Smith Gallery's Winter show was curated by the photographic expert and juror Jean Caslin, an art consultant and the former director of the Houston Center for Photography. A collection of 52 images depicting winter are part of the exhibit.
LMC Murals, across the street from A. Smith Gallery, features the works of Lee Casbeer and his brother Matt.
Classically trained in Italy, the brothers travel the world painting murals.
The art walk also will feature food and wine.
