Ruby Ann (Richardson) Rose, 53, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away Jan. 21, 2016. She was born Feb. 27, 1962, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to John T. and Marjorie (Pruiett) Richardson. Ruby was a resident of Kingsland since 1999, having moved there from Austin.

Ruby married Steven Scott Rose on Oct. 20, 1984, in Midland, Texas.

She was office manager and co-owner of Quality Custom Decks in Kingsland. Ruby was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Granite Shoals. She loved all water activities, boating, fishing as well as helping others. Ruby was an animal lover and enjoyed keeping up with her physical fitness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marjorie Richardson; brothers Robert and John Richardson; as well as her special rescue dog and best friend, Terre

Ruby is survived by her husband, Steve Rose of Kingsland; their many dogs; and brothers George and Gary Richardson.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Jan. 29 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 900 Industrial Blvd. in Kingsland, (325) 388-6767. A funeral service is 2 p.m. Jan. 30 at the funeral home with the Rev. Donna Shaw officiating. A graveside service will follow at Bluffton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hill Country Humane Society, 9150 RR 1431 West, Buchanan Dam, TX 78609; or the American Cancer Society.
