MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors announced the promotion of Patti Zinsmeyer to executive director.

Zinsmeyer will replace Bill Rives, who is retiring from the position. Zinsmeyer will take over the role in February 2016. She has been the director of marketing for the chamber as well as the convention and visitors bureau for the past 16 months.

A search committee, headed by chamber board immediate past president Dave Plante, posted the job listing, screened responses and interviewed candidates.

“Patti is a motivated, self-starter who has all the tools to lead the chamber through the next phase of anticipated growth for this area,” Plante said. “She has a solid background in small-community civics, tourism and business management and has proven herself to be a valuable asset to the chamber. We are excited to see her rise up and take the lead as executive director.”

As part of her role as the director of marketing and tourism, Zinsmeyer helped launched the new chamber website; helped create and design the marketing materials for promoting area parks, golf courses, lodging and restaurants; assisted with management and renegotiation of marketing budgets; and led the day-to-day operations of the visitors center and coordinated volunteers.

Before coming to Marble Falls, Zinsmeyer served as the Llano Chamber of Commerce executive director for two years and led a three-person staff.

“Not only does Patti have the right work experience and skill set for the job, she also has strong relationships with the current visitors center staff and volunteers,” Plante said. “Patti is a familiar face within our community and knows the needs of our local business owners.”
