SUNRISE BEACH — Incumbent Mayor Pat Frain will maintain her leadership role with the city of Sunrise Beach after her wide-margin defeat of challenger and councilman Lou Henson, according to unofficial election results posted May 10.

Frain received 155 votes (68 percent). Henson received 73 votes (32 percent).

Frain has served as the Sunrise Beach mayor for about eight years.

Henson, who also has been active with the volunteer fire agency for the community, will relinquish his council seat as well.

In the election for two at-large city council positions, Hank Gath, 133 votes, will retain his seat. Dan Gower, 156 votes, will be a new face on the council.
