Game 2 is set for 7 p.m. May 2 at the Yellow Jackets’ home field behind the Llano Elementary School, 1600 Oatman St. in Llano. Llano must win the next game to keep its postseason alive. Game 3, if necessary, is 3 p.m. May 3 at Troy High School, 205 N. Waco Road in Troy.

On May 1, Venus plated a run in the first inning off an RBI sacrifice bunt by Cody Norberg. Patrick Mathis, who committed to play for the University of Texas at Austin, then got an RBI on a fielder’s choice.

In the sixth inning, Norberg added another RBI with a single.
