Nancy Lou Kirby Collins, 75, of Burnet, Texas, passed away Sept. 17, 2013. She was born Sept. 30, 1937, in Lometa, Texas, to Gaylian and Marqueritte Todd (Beasley) Kirby.

Nancy, known as the voice of the courthouse and as “Grandma Collins,” enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Her cinnamon rolls were what most had requested. She also enjoyed taking her grandson Quint to garage sales. And Nancy was always in attendance at her grandchildren’s functions.

She is survived by her sons Terry Collins of Madisonville, Barry Collins and wife Dodie of Harper and Kerry Collins and wife Julie of Blanco. Nancy also is survived by grandchildren, Kiara Collins, Chloe Collins, Karli Collins, Quint Collins, Kristopher Pressler and wife Tiffany, Kyle Pressler and wife Erin, Kurtis Collins, Matthew Wyatt, Teresa Collins, Christina Collins, Breanna Collins and Zachariah Collins; great-grandchildren Kyndal Pressler and Kali Fischer; sister Floriece Ladyman and husband Bill of Lometa; and tons and tons of loving family and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Gaylian and Marqueritte Todd (Beasley) Kirby; grandparents Walter and Tillie Ligon; and brothers, John R Kirby II and Weldon Kirby.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sept. 20 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222. A service is 1 p.m. Sept. 21 at First Baptist Church in Burnet. A graveside service is 3:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa. Pallbearers are Mark Whitaker, Richard Prescott, Billy Dixon, Art Kirby, Joe Ray, Jack Fields, Quint Collins and Zach Collins.
